HOTEL IL DELFINO :: San Vincenzo

The Frati Family welcomes you to the Hotel Delfino in San Vincenzo, set in a quiet and enviable location, directly overlooking the main islands of the Tuscan archipelago: Elba, Capraia and, if you’re one of the lucky ones, on clear days you can enjoy spectacular sunsets with the tip of Corsica in the background. The centre of this seaside town on the Etruscan Coast is located a short walk from our hotel. The San Vincenzo coast provides long sandy beaches, with a calm and clean sea. For years it can boast not only the Blue Flag, but also an exceptional microclimate. The temperatures are pleasantly warm in summer and mild in winter, making it the ideal destination for holidays all year round.

We are close to the thermal waters of Venturina, where you can enjoy the beneficial effects of the Natural Spring of Calidario, and the Etruscan remains of Baratti. The pristine nature of Rimigliano Park also makes us the perfect base for wonderful visits to Etruscan Coast. In fact, only 2 km from the Hotel, an endless beach stretches out fringed by the pine forest of Rimigliano Park. A beautiful natural environment featuring hiking trails or biking ones, with paths that can lead to the promontory of Piombino across the enchanting Gulf of Baratti, the Necropolis of Buca delle Fate and the Calamoresca Park, immersing you in nature throughout with breath-taking views.

As well as being the centre of an important Etruscan archaeological area, San Vincenzo is also very close to ancient medieval villages, such as Suvereto, Campiglia Marittima, Sassetta, Castagneto Carducci, Bolgheri, Volterra and San Gimignano, where interesting celebrations and festivals take place throughout the year. A village that will definitely win you over with its irresistible charm is Populonia, the only Etruscan town founded by the sea and one of the most important centres of the ancient world for the processing and trade of iron. The Archaeological Park of Baratti and Populonia is set atop a hill surrounded by the sea, and with its 80 hectares of size, it enshrines a veritable treasure trove of Etruscan archaeology.

Close to the hotel, only 500 meters away, you will find the train station and the new tourist port of San Vincenzo. From there, you can take beautiful day trips by boat across the whole Tuscan archipelago. Art lovers can take advantage and use rail to discover 3 of the most beautiful Italian cities of art, Pisa, Florence and Siena.

Our area is a must for lovers of traditional cuisine accompanied by excellent wines from the Wine Road of the Etruscan Coast.

To have fun along with your children, you can go to the amusement park Cavallino Matto in Marina di Castagneto Carducci, or the Acqua Village which features two water parks, one in Cecina and one in Follonica. Most of all, to pique the curiosity of young and old, you can’t miss out on a visit to the Archaeological Park of San Silvestro in Campiglia Marittima where, aboard a train, you can retrace the unique route of minerals through the old mines.

Join us for a holiday in the spirit of relaxation and fun !!!!!!!!!!!
